The renaissance of the custom bicycle is ocurring in France too.

I’ve seen a lot of amazing creatures on the NAHBS floor, and have been impressed by many bikes like Engin, Naked, Speedhound… But a bike at the Krencker booth took my breath away. This young French builder, which I didn’t even know before this show, is doing top notch & high luxury bikes. All the components he uses come from Europe, and everything is customized and assembled in his house in Les Vosges mountains (near Julien Absalon’s home). Carbon tubes, chromed carbon fork and carbon crankset as well (a specific process is used), crocodile leather on brake levers and saddle, gold plated decals, polished Rolhoff hub with custom designated commands, and a pure crystal head logo made in the Baccarat area. Of course everything can be custom made for the wealthy owner… this bike worth around 25,000 € !
